The CCMS Mobile application was created to assist construction management personnel with the task of documenting construction activities, including:
- Enter and manage Inspector Daily Reports (IDRs)
- Enter and manage Force Account Records (FARs)
- Provide feedback on identified Project Issues
- Provide feedback on Punch List Activities
- Provide feedback on Scheduled Activities
The application currently works on Apple iOS iPad.
The CCMS Mobile application utilizes an Internet connection via Wi-Fi or cellular service to connect and communicate with an enterprise database. All project data is ultimately stored in this enterprise database or the application’s content server. Due to the high cost of cellular service usage and the problems receiving Wi-Fi and cellular signals in all construction project locations, this tablet application was developed to operate in disconnected mode. This means an Internet connection is NOT always required to use the system. An Internet connection is however required to perform the following activities:
- Login to the application
- Synchronize data between the tablet and the Enterprise database and content management server, and visa-versa
NOTE: You must perform a Sync operation in order for the data and attachments entered in the tablet to be uploaded to the master database.
