When an IDR is submitted by the inspector and a Sync is performed, the OE/RE will be notified. The IDR will either be Approved or Rejected. If the project is set up to allow the Inspector to edit a submitted IDR, editing can take place before the OE/RE approves or rejects the IDR. This is a project level setting and cannot be overridden on the tablet. If the project is set up not to allow editing of a ‘Submitted’ form, the Inspector will have to wait for the office to reject the IDR, perform a Sync to download the rejected IDR and then begin editing.
