13.3 Stored Material
The Stored Material section manages stores, items stored and stored material usage for a pay item.
The Stored Materials section is divided into two parts.
- Stores – This area has information about the stored material.
- Usage – This area lets the user mark the stored material usage.
The lifecycle of stored material is as follows
- A store is created for the pay item for which material is to be stored.
- The store has information such as quantity, unit, unit price of the material, date the material is stored, and is linked to pay item.
- The pay item when used after stored date is listed in the Usage tab of the Stored Materials section.
- The Stored Material Manager then can mark the usage.
A user has rights to CREATE or EDIT a material store if one (or more) of the following are true:
- User has ADMIN privilege
- User has STORED_MATERIAL_MANAGER privilege
- User has one of the active project roles defined in the configuration variable STOMAT_MANAGER_ROLE_LIST (Default: PA,RE – Auditor, Resident Engineer)
Note: If you do not want the project auditor or RE to create material stores, this right can be overridden by setting the STOMAT_MANAGER_ROLE_LIST configuration variable at the organization level.
A user has rights to USE stored material if one (or more) of the following are true: (In practice, this is limited to field personnel)
- User has ADMIN privilege
- User has STORED_MATERIAL_MANAGER privilege
- User has one of the project roles defined in the configuration variable STOMAT_USER_ROLE_LIST (Default: PA,RE,OE - Auditor, Resident Engineer, Office Engineer)
