Crews in the CCMS application are used as organizational and grouping mechanism. These crews are intended to model the actual crews working on a construction project. A crew is identified simply by its name, which typically would reflect the activity the crew was expected to perform, for example Paving, Clearing & Grubbing, Electrical, Painting, etc.  However, on smaller construction projects, a simple “Work” crew name might suffice.

Once the crew name has been entered on a project, the crew's name is available for use by everyone on the project, appearing in the list of available crews.  Zero or more crews can be referenced in an IDR or Force Account Record (FAR).  Once referenced, an IDR or FAR crew's is further documented by defining:

• Labor
• Equipment
